To meet our objectives, the following activities are coordinated:
- Two annual travel fairs for consumers, to promote and sell new tour products and services by participating agent members and travel related organisations.
- Destination presentations for Outbound members in conjunction with the National Tourist Organisations to help agency frontliners to improve their product knowledge and promote new holiday destinations.
- Business missions for members with the assistance and support from National Tourist Organisations to foster closer working partnerships with overseas tour operators and help members develop new businesses.
- Familiarsation tours for Inbound members to visit the local tourist attractions and hotels.
- The annual NATAS Scholarship Awards is presented to outstanding polytechnic students who wish to pursue a career in the travel agency industry upon graduation. The Scholarship programme attracts young talent to the industry and grooms them for middle-management positions.
- Regular breakfast talks are organised for members where speakers are invited to present best practices, management and leadership skills.
- Sporting and Recreational activities, (e.g. Bowling, Golf Tournaments) are organised to promote goodwill amongst members of the travel trade trade and create a platform for networking and interaction.
- Seminars on training and information technology are constantly being organised to upgrade the level of professionalism amongst members.
- Publication of our quarterly newsletter, "TravNews" which provides updates and information on the Association and the industry.
- Sub-committees are formed to address industry issues with relevant bodies and authorities
