NATAS Members Visit to Bintan Lagoon Resort

One would usually associate exotic beach getaways with popular destinations such as the Maldives or Bora Bora, but there is a slice of paradise that’s just a stone’s throw away from Singapore – Bintan. Located just 75 minutes away by ferry, Bintan is a scenic, beautiful island where visitors can break away from the hustle and bustle of the city-state of Singapore. Nestled within that tropical paradise at Pasir Panjang beach is Bintan Lagoon Resort, a premium 473-room beach resort that promises to wash all your worries away.

In May 2013, NATAS members were invited on an all-expenses paid two-day-and-one-night tour to experience the resort’s pleasures to allow members to better understand the products and services the resort offers so that they can package them into their customers’ itineraries.

The Bintan Lagoon Resort experience started the moment NATAS members disembarked the ferry and discovered that the immigrations checkpoint was situated within the resort itself.

As a resort that prides itself on delivering an unforgettable holiday experience, Bintan Lagoon Resort offers myriad activities catering to different guests. Besides the swimming pool, the resort has a karaoke lounge and lush pub where guests can sit back and enjoy an ice-cold cocktail while being entertained by the live band or deejay. Guests can also get their adrenaline pumping with the resort’s sea sports and land activities or pamper themselves at the spa and massage facilities. To cater to business travellers, Bintan Lagoon Resort offers a host of well-equipped meeting and conference facilities. Bintan Lagoon Resort also plays host to two world-renowned championship 18-hole golf courses – the Jack Nicklaus Sea View Gold Course and the Ian Baker-Finch Woodlands Golf Course.

NATAS members were extremely captivated by the resort, with Ram Samtani of Ramesh Travel Service saying, “I am very impressed with the resort’s design and size of the rooms.”  Zuo Xuege and Zhao Jie of Kang Hoe International Travel also expressed their enthusiasm stating, “Kang Hoe has many inbound customers who want to visit Bintan and Batam, and the resort’s convenience makes it a very attractive option.” Preya Kamachi of Citystate Destinations agreed, calling the resort “a place that our guests would love”.

Mr Henry Ng, Vice President, Sales of Mozaic Hotels & Resorts, commented that the trip had been very fruitful, with the travel agents indicating that they would want to "bring their guests to Bintan Lagoon Resort in the future."
